Cauliflower F1 'Successional Harvest Mix' - Seeds
This mix of F1 varieties, used by professional growers, will provide a good supply of tasty cauliflowers over the late summer/autumn period - so much easier than sowing successionally or putting up with a 'glut'. Varieties in mix: F1 Amsterdam, F1 Seoul, F1 Brasilia. Performs well on a range of soil types. Harvest August-October.
Growing Information
Sow in a seedbed outdoors March-May and later transplant to their final positions. Alternatively sow January-February under glass. Snowball A and All The Year Round may be sown late September-October for wintering in cold frames to plant out in spring. (20-26 weeks maturity).
Sowing Information
Sow direct in rows 1cm ( 1?2") deep and 30cm (12") between rows. Transfer into final growing positions approx. 5 weeks after sowing. Alternatively, sow indoors 1cm ( 1?2") deep in trays of seed compost and cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator at a temperature of 21°C (70°F) to germinate, 4-7 days. Transfer seedlings into 7.5cm (3") pots and grow on. Acclimatise before planting out in well-drained soil in full sun 50cm (24") apart each way.
F1 Brasilia: 33.3%, F1 Seoul: 33.3%, F1 Amsterdam: 33.3%.
Sowing ➞ Cropping: From 20 weeks
