Cleome 'Fireworks Mix' - Seeds
A stunning explosion of colour for your garden or vase. Cleome makes a perfect summer border plant as well as a lovely textural cut flower. An old favourite of the Victorians with a new vibrant twist! A great plant to keep unwanted visitors of your garden too as the stems have sharp spikes running up the stems- must be handled with care when cutting. Flowers July-September. Height 90-100cm. (36-40"). HHA - Half hardy annual.
Growing Information
Sow in trays of good quality, moist seed compost, 3mm (1/8") deep, in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approximately 18-210C (65-700F). Transfer seedlings when large enough to handle into further trays spacing them 5cm (2") apart and grow on. Plant outside in late May-June, after acclimatising to outside conditions, about 40cm (16") apart. Prefers good Loamy soil in an open sunny position. Note that there are spikes on the stems.
