Geum 'Blazing Sunset' boasts large, fully double, vibrant red blooms that burst into colour throughout the summer upon slender stems that rise above clumps of foliage. Perfect for adding a pop of colour to sunny borders as well as making a stunning cut flower for indoor vase displays. Height and spread: 60cm (24").
Growing Information
Pot up geum plants and grow them on in bright, frost-free conditions until large enough to be transplanted outdoors. Once well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Geums dislike soils which are prone to waterlogging in winter. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun.
